Fox Theater: Historic Spokane

The Fox Theater is a gem of a building in Spokane. With roots as the largest theater in the city, the Fox once hosted movies as well as stage performances by greats including Katharine Hepburn, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra. After a period of decline it was given a spectacular $31 million renovation, bringing it to its present status as an iconic place to take in performance of artists ranging from the B-52s to the Spokane Symphony to k.d.lang. The theater itself is a work of art, with imaginative landscapes and settings ranging from below the sea to day and night skies. The Fox Theater once had a date with a wrecking ball until the community brought it back from the brink. When you visit the Fox, appreciate all the work that went into saving this beautiful space.
